FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What guided our decisions on requirements of children’s areas?

State laws and general safety for children occupied buildings.

How will we pay for this?

We currently have $.9 million in the restricted fund reserved for this renovation. With God’s blessing and your sacrificial giving, we will reach our commitment goal of $1.3 million. The remaining $1.2 million will be financed by the church to equal our total renovation cost of $3.4 million.

How will this building project help us reach our community for Christ?

This renovation project will allow us to expand our outreach to our growing community for Christ as well as provide space for our existing education, music, fellowship, youth, and children’s activities.

What is the financial condition of the church?

Green Level Baptist Church is currently debt free with a healthy general fund.

Why should I sign a commitment card?

We believe we should be good stewards of God’s money. Signing a commitment card for the Raise Up, Reach Out Campaign will help Green Level Baptist Church understand our potential in and through the body of believers and what we can do collectively to further His kingdom’s work.

How long is the commitment to this program?

We are asking each person to sacrificially give to the Raise Up, Reach Out Campaign for the next three years.

What does commitment mean?

Commitment means you and I are willing to believe God can provide through us what we cannot do alone. When we commit together collectively, we believe God will show up in a very powerful way.

What is the next step after our commitments are turned in?

Voting on Nov. 20, 2016 at conference to proceed with the renovation. Once approved, we will begin giving towards our commitments on Dec 4, 2016.

What are the different ways I can give?

First, we are asking you to give a sacrificial gift over and above your tithe for the next three years. Secondly, some may want to give personal belongings to the Campaign. Third, some people may have other forms of gifts they may want to give to the campaign, such as investments and assets. Please reach out to the church office for any questions on ways to give.

How can I help?

First and foremost, please PRAY regularly for the Raise Up, Reach Out Campaign. Secondly, participate in the events and activities that will show how God is working at GLBC to achieve His will. Make a commitment to learn as much as you can about the Campaign and how it will help us fulfill God’s vision. And lastly, fill out a commitment card and sacrificially give toward the Raise Up, Reach Out Campaign.  The vision God has granted us can only be achieved through faith and sacrifice.
